Kenway's Fleet is the single best source of passive income in Black Flag Resynced, generating ~25,000 Reales per hour with an optimized setup. It unlocks in Sequence 4 and runs in the background while you play β meaning every minute you're sailing, your fleet is earning. Here's how to maximize it.
How Kenway's Fleet Works
Any ship you board and capture is added to your fleet. You can then send these ships on automated trade routes from the Captain's Cabin on the Jackdaw (new in Resynced β previously only accessible via the companion app). Each route takes real-time minutes to complete, and ships return with Reales and/or materials.
Best Ships for Your Fleet
| Ship Type | Best Use | Success Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Man o' War | Mediterranean/British routes β max Reales | 100% on high-value routes |
| Frigate | Material routes β Metal and Wood | 85-95% on medium routes |
| Brig | Balanced β decent at both Reales and materials | 75-90% |
| Schooner | Fast cheap routes β quick turnover | 70-85% |
Priority: Capture Man o' Wars whenever you encounter them. A single Man o' War on a Mediterranean route can earn 5,000-8,000 Reales per trip.
Best Trade Routes
- Mediterranean routes: Highest Reales payout. Requires Man o' War or Frigate for reliable success.
- British routes: Good balance of Reales and materials. Mid-tier ships work well here.
- Spanish routes: Best for materials (Metal, Wood). Send Brigs and Frigates.
- Smuggling routes: Fastest turnaround (~15 min). Use Schooners for quick passive income while actively playing.
Expanding Your Fleet Capacity
You start with a small fleet. Increase capacity by upgrading your Great Inagua hideout:
- Campfire: +2 fleet slots (1,000 Reales)
- Mansion Façade: +1 fleet slot (3,500 Reales)
- Tower & Garden: +1 fleet slot (3,500 Reales)
- Guesthouse: +1 fleet slot (3,500 Reales)
Total bonus from hideout: +5 fleet slots. Build the Campfire first β it's the cheapest and gives the biggest boost.
Strategy: The "Always Be Earning" System
- Before a play session: Send all available ships on the longest profitable routes.
- Every 30 minutes: When you dock at a port or return to the Jackdaw, check the Captain's Cabin. Collect completed trips and resend ships.
- After capturing new ships: Immediately assign them to the fleet. Prioritize capturing Brigs and above β Schooners have low profit margins.
- Before logging off: Send all ships on 8+ hour routes (if available). You'll come back to a pile of Reales.
Pro Tips
- The Treasure Dealer (new building at Great Inagua) boosts fleet profits. Build it after the Campfire.
- Don't send damaged ships. A ship with low HP has a higher chance of failing its route. Repair at the Harbourmaster before sending.
- Fleet is how you afford the Harbourmaster upgrades. Those 8,000 Reales for Harbourmaster level 3? One hour of optimized fleet income covers it.
